Welcome to our School Council.
Our school council is a group of pupils who have been elected to represent the views of all pupils attending our school. Our key stage 1 classes elect two representatives from each class.
The school council meet every half term to discuss ideas to improve school. They discuss with their peers any issues in school and will give them feedback from each meeting.
Examples of our School Council achievements are:
- We hold ‘Cake Cafes’ to raise money for our nominated charities and for projects in school
- We meet with our school caterers Taylor Shaw to discuss and review our lunch menus
- We asked our classes what items they would like to see in the Sea Bay Attendance shop
- We supported school to achieve the ‘Investing in Children’ award
We also have an International School Council as our school has a full International School Award which we have now held for seven consecutive years. As we have had visitors from several countries such as Norway, Germany, Belgium, Latvia, South Africa, Kenya, India and more recently Nepal the international school council was formed to be the welcoming party for all our visitors. The council formally meets with our international visitors to ask questions and find out about culture and customs from each country.
