Welcome to Nursery!
Our teacher is Miss Noble who is supported by Mrs Raine, Miss Featherstone, Mrs Gillham and Miss Phillips. In line with government recommendations each teacher is entitled to half a day of ‘planning, preparation and assessment’ time. This will generally take place on a Friday and will be covered by Mrs O’Connor.
In Nursery learning is split up into two areas of learning and development, Prime and Specific. In the prime areas of learning we look at the child’s development in Personal, social and Emotional development, Physical Development and Communication and language. This is the area of learning that we mainly focus on in Nursery.
In the specific areas of learning we look at the children’s development in Literacy, Mathematics, Understanding the World and Expressive Arts and Design.
