Miss Flynn and Mrs Green were given a traditional greeting by pupils from Gladstone Academy. Prayer shawls placed round their necks and posies of flowers. Namaste!
They spent the day in the Pre Primary department meeting staff and pupils. Lunch was cooked by the school chef. A table filled with noodles, omellettes, flat breads and samosas!
The next day at Gladstone Academy, Mrs Green and Miss Flynn spent time in the Lower Grades classes with children aged between 7 and 10.
They were fascinated by the ICT lesson which had to take place in the classroom without computers! The electricity supply in Nepal is scarce and most areas have no power for over half the day!.
