PACT and other residential meetings have identified an increase in the amount of dog fouling found on the streets of Bowburn. It is apparent some owners are not picking up after their dog and leaving the mess on public footpaths and bridleways. Due to the nature of dog fouling, it is not only unpleasant, it is a threat to public health, especially young children. Neighbourhood wardens do patrol the areas on ‘dog patrol’ and have the powers to issue tickets and warning letters for those who are not picking up after their dog. A dog watch is being set up in the village to tackle this problem in the hope of creating Bowburn as a dog fouling free zone.
We would appreciate your support with this problem.
